Congratulations to Ulysses Tonga’onevai

The faculty and staff of EdPsych are proud to announce that Ulysses Tonga’onevai’s has passed his dissertation defense entitled, Fele e’ Kau Toa: The Impact of Racialization on Polynesian College Football Players’ Academic Success, Post-Collegiate Athletic Decisions, and the Role of Mana.

On April 13, Ulysses Tonga'onevai added a few extra letters to his name: PhD!! Ulysses successfully defended his dissertation, Fele e’ Kau Toa: The Impact of Racialization on Polynesian College Football Players’ Academic Success, Post-Collegiate Athletic Decisions, and the Role of Mana, one of the final hurdles in becoming a PhD graduate of ECS. Ulysses is scheduled for a Summer 2021 graduation. We want to thank his committee for their encouragement and support. The following are his committee members:
